Burnt Toast, Re-Buttered!
Three stalwart members of Packer Corners (aka Total Loss) Farm
help Hungry Ghost Bread inaugurate the new public art garden on
State Street in Northampton on Thursday, June 15 at 5pm.
Peter Gould, author of Burnt Toast, and most recently Horse-Drawn Yogurt,
will read from his new book and be joined by his fellow-communards Mark
Fenwick –sculptor of the featured “Chorus” piece- and Verandah Porche,
poet-extraordinaire of Guilford,Vermont. Songwriter Charlie Braun will offer
music from the “space between”.
Join us in celebrating the grand opening of a reborn urban corner: complete
with stone amphitheater, medicinal plants, flowered walkways, Emma Kohlmann’s
Persephone’s mural, a mythic sculpture –and you.
This event is free and open to the public.
This project was created by Local Harmony, a collaboration of Owen Worsmer
and Chris Marano, with donations from Smith College, Ashfield Stone and Hungry Ghost Bread customers.
