Hungry Ghost Bread opened in April of 2004, owners Jonathan and Cheryl were expecting a small crowd of mostly friends and family. Instead, they found themselves selling bread faster than they could bake it, on some weekend days this is still the case. Since our inception, Hungry Ghost has remained committed to the principles of community, ethical sourcing, and using organic, local ingredients wherever possible. All of our flour is grown in the Northeast and many of our flours are milled right down the road at Ground Up Grain in Holyoke, MA and delivered weekly for the best taste and quality.
